What is in frame?
An in frame kitchen consists of a cupboard door that has additional framing around the outside. You have the option of a shaker style or a slab style in frame, depending on the look you’re going for. If you decide to opt for a shaker style, there are further options that include bead profiles, for a more ornate look.
What are the benefits?
Frame designs can be used in either traditional kitchens or modern kitchens, so they’re quite versatile. They’re also a great option for creating that high-end look. With a paint-to-order option, the opportunities are endless. Choose from staple hues to on-trend shades and create the kitchen you’ve always wanted.
How to style an in frame kitchen
Styling an in frame kitchen includes selecting the handles, features and finishes that will tie the whole room together. Pull handles are very often seen paired with in frame kitchens. If you’re heading down the more traditional route, cup pulls are a great option. Mix it up by using cup pull handles for your drawers and knobs for your cupboard doors. For a more modern approach, a slab style in frame with a knurled knob on a backplate gives a super contemporary look. Pair with heritage features such as bridge taps and Belfast sinks.
Kitchen Projects
Take a look at some of the previous projects we have completed that consist of in frame kitchens.
This project utilises our cockbead frame shaker door in the colour Worsted by Farrow & Ball, paired with a Perbeck Stone island for a subtle two-tone design. This space offers a more modern approach to in frame by featuring modern accessories such as the pull handles, Quooker hot tap and glass spashback.
This beautiful kitchen showcases our grained inframe shaker in another two-tone design. Painted in Farrow & Ball Elephants Breath and Moles Breath. Designed with a more traditional feel, this project uses cup pull handles for the drawers and knobs for the cupboard doors.
This whole home project consists of an in frame shaker kitchen, utility and bar area. Take a look at our piece as featured in the May 2021 edition of Living North’s Interiors Guide, to view the full project.
